Heading into the weekend, there’s an abundance of activities around the capital city region over the next three days. The Brewery Arts Center hosts a female version of "The Odd Couple." Carson City's Greenhouse Project is hosting a lunch and dinner fundraiser toward a healthier State Capitol. Dale Poune will perform at Bella Vita Bistro, plus comedy at the Carson Nugget, the Nevada Caucus on Saturday, an open house at the historic Foreman-Roberts House, a Latin-themed concert at the community center and more. Friday, February 21
— Muscle Powered Friday Morning Walk. 9 a.m. at the Multi-Purpose Athletic Center (MAC) on 1860 Russell Way. Come join Muscle Powered for a morning walk in Carson City. Walks are usually 1 to 2 miles long with a duration of an hour.
— Eddy Street Vintage Market Pop-Up in Gardnerville. 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 1235 Eddy St. Eddy Street Vintage Market started on a whim! Meant to be open for one weekend.. ever…one and done. What happened was nothing short of miraculous. A snowball in the middle of summer. What transpired was an amazing event once per month that combines family, friends and a love of antiques, vintage and repurposed goods.
— The Greenhouse Project Fundraiser. 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. at 308 N. Curry St. in Carson City. Join us Friday for lunch or dinner and we will donate a portion of proceeds to the Greenhouse Project so they can keep growing, giving and teaching for a healthier and greener Carson City.
— Carson City Job Fair. 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Carson Community Center, 851 E. William St. With over 50 prospective employers to network with, this is a job fair you won't want to miss! Servpro of Carson City, South Lake Tahoe, and Douglas County will be attending, looking to fill positions in construction, sales and marketing.
— Forest Service 'Ski with a Ranger' at Lake Tahoe's Heavenly Mountain. 1 p.m. at the top of Heavenly Gondola. The USDA Forest Service Lake Tahoe Basin Management Unit invites you to Ski with a Ranger at Heavenly Mountain Resort beginning Friday, Jan. 31, 2020. Tours begin at Tamarack Lodge, at the top of the Heavenly Gondola every Friday at 1 p.m. The tours last approximately one-hour and continue through March 27, 2020, weather permitting.
— Experience Virtual Reality at the Carson City Library. 2:30 to 5:30 p.m. at 900 N. Roop St. Join us every Friday from 2:30 pm to 5:30 p.m. to experience Virtual Reality! Using the latest technology, Virtual Reality allows you to experience new places and situations in a computer simulated world. Discover what it’s like to see dinosaurs up close, view art from around the world in a single museum, or blast alien ships in a virtual world. Must have a waiver signed.
— Dale Poune Performs Solo at Bella Vita Bistro. 4 to 7 p.m, at 1304 S. Stewart St. Dale Poune will be performing solo on Friday night! Come join us with great food, drink and Service. Come down and join me for some great fun.
— Paint and Sip Night at Artisans Café. 6 to 8:30 p.m. at 701 S. Carson St. Come paint with us Carson City! We will have an array of arts, paints, colors and wines for all to enjoy. It is an event you don’t want to miss.
— Open Mic Night at A to Zen Gift Shop. 6 to 9 p.m. at 1803 N. Carson St. Open Mic Night is held at A to Zen Gift Shop on the Zen Den Stage. All talents, creative projects are welcome. Come practice being on stage. There will be music, comedy, poetry, magic, and more. All ages and skill levels are welcome.
— Mystic Painting Moonlight Party. 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Picasso and Wine Carson City, 3821 S. Carson St. The most fun you will have with a paint brush in one hand and a drink in the other! Painting events at Picasso & Wine are fun, social & relaxing. Chat and laugh with friends while creating a unique piece of art. We take care of the setup and cleanup. — Documentary 'Strange Negotiations' film screening featured in Carson City. 7 p.m. at First United Methodist Church, 200 N. Division St. A documentary exploring the spiritual, artistic, and personal turmoil of musician David Bazan, from the band Pedro the Lion, set against America’s own crisis of faith highlighted by the 2016 presidential election.
— Carson Comedy Club features Comedian Steven Briggs this Friday night. 8. P.m. at the Carson Nugget, 507 N. Carson St. The Carson Comedy Club at the Carson Nugget in Nevada's capital city features the headlining comedy stylings of Steven Briggs this Friday on stage.
— Live Music at Living the Good Life. 8 to 11:55 p.m. at 1480 N. Carson St. It’s been a while, but we’re back at our hometown music and dinner club! Gina and her crew really know how to support local music and put out incredible food! Hope to see everyone there!

— Nevada Caucus Locations in Carson City, Douglas County and Lyon County. Check ins for all locations begin at 10 a.m. Caucuses will be called to order at 12 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 22 marks the Nevada democratic caucus. The Nevada State Democratic Party listed voting locations around Carson City, Douglas County and Lyon County.

— Cottonwood wrapping volunteer event with Carson City Parks. 10 a.m. Please park at Morgan Mill River Access off Morgan Mill Road, we will be walking 1 mile down Empire Ranch Trail. Carson City Parks, Recreation and Open Space is having a Cottonwood Wrapping volunteer event! We will be installing mesh wire around the base of Cottonwood trees to protect them from being damaged by beavers.
— Guided snowshoe hikes with a ranger on the Carson Ranger District. 10 a.m. at Tahoe Meadows, one mile southwest of the summit of Nevada State Route 431 Mt. Rose Highway. The Carson Ranger District on the Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest is pleased to announce the return of the popular Forest Ranger-led snowshoe walks. The walks begin this Saturday, Jan. 25, and will be offered every Saturday through March 28.
— Family Reading Program at the Carson City Library. 10:15 to 11:15 a.m. at 900 N. Roop St. Through a partnership with the Northern Nevada Literacy Council (NNLC), the Carson City Library helps families read and learn together. This program enables parents to improve their children's literacy skills and model positive family literacy behaviors at home. Each family registered will receive a free book. Each child will get to participate in an art or science activity.
— Father-Daughter Day and Dance in Virginia City. 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Fathers – take your daughters on a historic journey back in time to Virginia City. — Mustang Mardi Gras at the Nevada Governor's Mansion. 4 to 7 p.m. Join Patricia Ackerman in supporting the Wild Horse Preservation League by attending the Mustang Mardi Gras at the Nevada Governor's Mansion!
